We source all our matcha powder directly from Japan, specifically Yame, Fukuoka—unless stated otherwise.
How do I prepare matcha?

Should matcha be refrigerated?
For peak freshness, refrigerate after opening. If using within a month, the counter works too—just keep it in a cool, dark place with the lid tight!
Is "ceremonial" matcha a thing?
Not really. "Ceremonial" has no set rules—it's just a label that isn't regulated whatsoever. Quality varies, and anyone could grind tea leaves and call it ceremonial.
Is there added sugar in Matcha Snobs matcha?
Never. In fact we don't add anything to our matcha at all. Our matcha products are purely 100% ground shaded green tea (AKA tencha) leaves.
Are there health benefits to matcha?
Yes! Thanks to the way it's grown, matcha is packed with antioxidants, L-theanine, and therefore provides a steady, balanced caffeine boost. But we love it just as much for the taste as for the benefits.
Where do you ship to?
Currently, we are only shipping to the United States (including HI and AK). However, our team is working hard to change that! 👀
